Land management through uses such as farming or forestry development can all be informed through the use of the Framework which can provide context and understanding to land management decisions whilst also providing a means of monitoring the impacts of current land management decisions on the character and distinctiveness of the landscape. The integrated landscape character objectives can also be used to direct land management to ensure that it contributes to the future distinctiveness and condition of the landscape.
