The East of England Landscape Framework enables a greater appreciation of the role that geodiversity plays in physical and cultural landscape character, notably through variations in rock type, soils, water and topography. It assists with providing baseline information about the physical environment for spatial planning, and enabling understanding about the physical elements of local distinctiveness.
