The East of England Landscape Framework combines understanding of the existing landscape character with historical landscape characterisation and can therefore provide a vital framework for understanding and planning for the historic environment. It also provides an understanding of how the historic environment contributes to landscape character, enabling the value of this resource to be more widely comprehended. Landscape character objectives and the sensitivity assessment enable further consideration of the future of this resource.
